Rabbi David Komerofsky, the Executive Director of Texas Hillel in  
Austin, will lead Shabbat services on Friday, Nov. 28, at 6:30 pm. 
Rabbi Komerofsky is also available for life cycle events including 
baby namings, bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, and funerals.

On Friday, December 19, at 11:30 A.M., members of the San Antonio-area Roman Catholic and Jewish communities will gather for the Seventh Annual Joint Catholic-Jewish Hanukkah Commemoration. The event will be held at San Fernando Cathedral Hall, 231 West Commerce. The Jewish Federation of San Antonio will join San Fernando Cathedral as a co-sponsor.

The Most Rev. Jose H. Gomez, Archbishop of San Antonio, will be the presiding host, the Very Rev. Tony Vilano, Rector of San Fernando Cathedral, will be master of ceremonies, and Mayor Phil Hardberger will bring greetings from the city of San Antonio. Planning this event with Rev. Vilano are Rabbi Samuel M. Stahl, Bennett Feinsilber, Douglas Cross, David Komet, Judy Lackritz, Veronica Alvarez, and Louis Sanchez.Hazzan.

Jeremy Lipton, Cantor of Congregation Agudas Achim, and the Most Rev. Oscar Cantu, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of San Antonio, will speak on the impact of Hanukkah on Judaism and Christianity. Also included in the program will be the kindling of Hanukkah lights of Feinsilber’s Polish menorah. SISTERHOOD TORAH STUDY SESSION

The Temple Chai Sisterhood monthly Torah study sessions have concluded for this semester and will resume in the fall.  The dates and times for these sessions will be posted at that time.
