Temple Chai in the presence of over 125 worshippers.
Silverstein has been
serving as the Spiritual Leader of the congregation since July 1st but was
formally installed at a special Shabbat Service by Rabbi Samuel Stahl, Emeritus

cemetery at Mission Park North Cemetery and it will be available for members of
the congregation and others of the Jewish faith and interfaith families.
Mel read letters of congratulations from Congressmen Henry Cuellar, Mayor Phil
Hardberger and Rabbi Barry Block.
The service was preceded by a
dinner honoring David and his wife, Barbara.
Dinner was attended by over
40 guests. The service was followed by an Oneg Shabbat hosted by the
Sisterhood of Temple Chai.
